Owners see everything. Managers see operations but not billing. Staff see only what they need to do their shift.
Don't run rentals? Don't need linens? Don't use seating charts? Hide them from the sidebar in /settings/workspace-setup. Three resolution tiers: workspace-wide, per role, or per person — so the bride-side sales lead can see Pipeline + Events + Reports while a kitchen prep cook only ever sees Today and their crew page. Data is never deleted; turn anything back on later.
Owners can scope Maître access per person: off (no chat), ask-only (read-only — search / list / get tools only) or full. Defaults are sensible — owners + managers full, staff ask-only — but flippable for people who shouldn't be drafting outbound emails or for the seasonal hire who doesn't need it.
Whatever Workspace Setup hides for a user, Maître also hides — same source of truth. Hide Reports for staff and Maître stops surfacing them in chat for staff. Set someone's Maître access to ask-only and Maître refuses any write tool for them, even if they ask politely. Owner approval gates apply to Maître's bulk-destructive moves regardless of who initiated them.
