Floor plans the venue crew can read

Measure the room once. Drag tables, the bar, the dancefloor and the doors into it, to scale, on your phone. Save the ballroom as a layout and apply it to the next forty weddings. It prints on the BEO with the linen order.

What’s inside
  • Drawn to scale in centimetres, with real chairs and a real gangway
  • The symbols a venue drawing uses: chairs with backs, door swings, parquet, a bar with stools
  • Bar, buffet, dancefloor, stage, DJ, cake table, pillars and doors, dragged and rotated
  • Save a room's arrangement as a layout and apply it to a new event in one tap
  • Works on an iPhone in a marquee; a move made with no signal is kept and synced
  • A colleague's change appears on your plan before your save is refused
  • Prints on page two of the BEO with the linen order by cloth size
01

Drawn the way every venue draws it

A caterer in Lyon, a venue manager in Dubai and a planner in Ohio all read the same floor plan, because they all learnt it from the same drawings: a chair is a seat with a back, a door is an opening with a swing, a column is solid, a dancefloor is parquet. Apron Desk draws those symbols, at scale, on the screen and on paper, and the two are the same drawing.

02

Measure once, apply forever

Give the room its width and length and the first five tables lay themselves out with a proper gangway between the chairs. Move what you like, add the bar and the dancefloor, snap the door to its wall, and keep it. Save that as 'Ballroom, five rounds' and the next event in that room starts from it. A table on the dancefloor, two tables on one spot, a table through a wall: each is said in words as well as painted rose.

  • Undo covers every move, add, resize and rename
  • The plan follows the same version lock as the seating chart, so two people cannot silently overwrite each other
  • Page two of the BEO: the plan to scale with a scale bar, and a linen count by table size
Maître woven through

Maître knows the tables, so it can talk about the room

The floor plan and the seating chart share their tables, and Maître reads the seating chart. Ask what is on the plan or who is at which table, and it answers from the same rows the drawing is made of.

“How many tables are on the Alvarez plan, and who is still unseated?”

MaîtreMaître reads the event's tables and answers with the count, the free seats per table, and how many guests have no seat yet.

$50 of Maître work included monthly, metered at what the model costs us. Overage is off unless you turn it on. Read more on the Maître AI page.

Need something this page doesn’t mention?

We build custom features for individual customers starting at $10/month. If your idea is broadly useful to other catering operators, we may waive the monthly fee entirely and add it to the standard catalog. The first conversation is free and we’ll tell you which path applies.

How it works

Pairs well with

Say it, and it is done

In the van, on the floor, walking out of the client's kitchen: tap the mic and say what changed. The recording is kept, the words come back spelled the way you spell them, Maître proposes the changes, and you approve each one with a tap.
